70 I like my drum and bass like I like my women: dirty. This tune is certainly that, with some tasty Noisia-esque squelchy twisty nastiness going on in the bass department, some nice punchy beats to accompany and even touches of late 90s techno, tied together with some decent atmospherics and a well-balanced structure. It makes for a very enjoyable tune overall and one that would sit nicely in a ... More set. Not sure it's memorable (we'll see later on I guess), but as a tool for tearing up a dancefloor this really does the job. Good stuff.Nobody has rated this review yet. |

70 never been disappointed with the El. The drums are a bit uninteresting on the long run: the patterns are good but, the builds also but perhaps a less busy arrangement with some more breath to see what's going on behind 'em. I'm hoping to see in the next tunes some more personality, because, apart from that, they are fuckin heavy. Go with the tide mate. Nobody has rated this review yet. |

80 oh man, this is pretty big. would have liked a bigger drop, but i cannot complaint about much else. bass is huge and grimey, man this tune is furious about something! what did you do to piss it off? nice variety, i like the smooth atmospherics and the stereo fx in the break are awesome. well done! 80 I love it! Just my kind of neuro style DnB. The beats are really chunky and punchy and the bass is really crunchy with lots of high pass filtering which means it all sits nicely together and the atmospheric pads and soundscapes really finish it off nicely. Really makes me want to put a lot more effort into my bass designing (i would really like to know what you used to make your basslines). ... More Well deserving of the number one spot.
