This is a truly wonderful piece of music. There, I said it. You don't have to read the rest of the review now; just hit play and then - when you've realised that I'm right - download it for iPod enjoyment. You're still reading? Okay, well I guess I'd better elaborate a little bit. From the opening chords where the atmosphere is set with gentle sustained strings, simple flute licks and soothing ... Keep in mind, this is NOT my style man, but just making this site worth the login haha. I already know you from other forums and soundcloud. Gotta say, congrats for all your tracks having the same feel, which is almost recognisable if heard one of these on the readio. For this track I have to say, that it lacks only on drum changes (which is always my main focus tbh...). Watching the song in a ... More This review is controversial (0 from 2 people) |

The instrumentation and arrangement of the music works perfectly with each other ... More This review is controversial (0 from 2 people) |

Some beautiful musical ideas in here, and all the subtle little flourishes that poke through every now and then are wonderful. Im very much digging your style and will be checking out your other tunes! Only thing i could say is snare could be a bit snappier. but thats just being ridiculously picky because i cant find any ... Yeah brother. Melodies are spot on, sounds are clean. Very low key. You know all this already, no need for me to tell you. What I will say: your drums. Dirty those things up. Sound like they came straight out of FL/Reason etc. Perhaps layer a break behind for my money (a la what you've done at the end). Syncopation is your friend. Lovely stuff, but give me a little more to roll with. Also the ... More This review is helpful (+1 from 3 people) |
