Well now, this is something a bit special. A song with really great vocals, both catchy and well-performed, with little twists at the right moments to veer away from predictablity (such as the little dips into minor), accompanied by a backing soundtrack that is both bonkers and individual in a brilliant way. The drums are particularly mad, bouncing around like a hyperactive fawn but giving the ... More

I've listened to this a few times, and am trying desperately to assimilate with Mark's review, but I can't. As Mark has heaped copious amounts of praise, i will fill in the gaps with some criticisms.  I definitely wouldn't give it a 10.  I'd give it a 6, and these are the reasons why - the drums could be more original - it sounds like a stock jungle sample cd loop, although there are admittedly ... I have to agree with Kion. I myself don't find this song particularly gripping. It just sounds way to empty to me, which certainly doesn't carry the vocal well considering it's only backed by the same drum loop and bass sounds throughout the track. I quite like the vocal It's got a nice sound to it with that slight bit of distortion and has been recorded well. I think that this tune just has a ... More

The song may have room for improvement - good., maybe the improvement is the listener.  There are too many songs out there that are polished crystals which lack the soul and empathy of earths feelings (she weeps).  This song is on that level where it (needless to say) speaks to you in a personal way and those bass drops combined with the low stabby bass are saying here's the ceiling, this is the ... .....? Without dwelling on the comments, this tune really does not do it for me. I can appreciate the track, sounds very 90's Alt rock to me, almost NIN in sound. Production wise i don't actually think there has much put into this, hardly any variation at all, the vocals are quite weak too, but different can been see as a good thing.
I like the randomness of the beats, i have listened to this ... More

Drums are good, there's quite a few ideas thrown in there and clearly a lot of thought has gone into the arrangement. However, to me, the track lacks musicality. The vocals seem to be the only musical thing in the tune, with the other elements failing to keep up. The other thing is that the use of panning is a bit self indulgent.

Ideas are good, but in my personal taste really not feeling the vocals.

They sound like they have come from a teenage pop punk group?

Could do with dropping them in my opinion. Other ideas int he track are good, kind of Apollo 440 vibe going on.

Could be really good without the vox, which I think holds the track back immensely.

Anyway, is always nice to hear other people take on a genre, so apart ... More

This tune seems to have split opinions. Didnt feel this at all though. The vocals are very middle of the road and the drums are weak (the snare is basically non existant). These type of vocals jut dont seem to work with drum n bass. If anything a good drenching in reverb might make them work a little better. I liked the guitar parts, but aside from that it sounded like something off the ... More

I lie it but to me its the vocals that let it down, I don't know what it is maybe the slight out of tunenes (sp?) of them, but they just dont grip me at all.

The music on the other hand is brilliant, if you were to create an intrumental version then I would love it.

Good effor though.
