Review of: Wrong Theory (forthcoming Quondam Records)

Production quality here really is above average. Reverb on the drums, reverse hits..it's all done very cleverly. Clearly a lot of work has gone into this piece. Reminds me Alix Perez and grows on you with each successive listening.

Review of: Breathing

Fantastic atmospherics throughout this tune, complemented nicely by great work on the percussion and effects. It's lacking in the bass department generally though. The kick feels a bit weak and muffled which, coupled with the ultra-minimalistic sub-bassline (which could do with making a few more appearances here and there to really tie the tune together), gives the whole thing an awkward ... More coldness. Don't get me wrong, I understand that cold is what the atmospherics aim for, but it seems a shame that, after all the magnificent work on the other elements, the bass feels neglected and, dare I say it, lazy. It doesn't really add anything to the composition.

I would argue that taking it out altogether would work, but seeing as this is a garage tune it's actually quite an important element so my suggestion is actually to work on it

An 8 for composition, atmosphere, percussion programming and structure though. It's a haunting tune that sticks in the mind (almost surprisingly so) after a listen.

Review of: The Human Potential Movement

There's seems to be some distortion but that might just be my speakers.
Apart from that, great tune. It got me playing the finger drums on the table :-)
