85 Faultless minimal. The long intro is filled with nice glitches and pads. The rising and falling nature teases and tantalizes. The drums and bass are spot on. The roll on nicely while the synths sit spookily all around them. This track is a great piece of music. However I am not sure where and when I would play this. It is on the most down tempo side of techno and the uptempo side of chill out. Nobody has rated this review yet. |

80 this put me in my warm fuzzy musical place when i listened to it i have to say, i disagree with the reviewing guide on the forums it doesnt make any sense if this site is aimed at both listeners and creators, listeners shouldnt have to be versed in music production if all they want is to listen anyway in terms of production, this thing works, its got that strange feel to it.it doesnt stray far from th ... More original theme which i find very handy, i absolutely hate key changes, that is down to personal preference though, i hate being knocked out of my comfort zone it doesnt adhere to the regular sounds ive been hearing lately. the eq is perfect, the track doesnt suffer from loudness syndrome.im gonna give you an 8 for originality , thats a 4 for good production and a 4 for originality,im not allowed to give you a 10 unless its a mona lisa

75 The atmosphere created right from the start is mysterious but inviting. The off kilter sounds that are familiar but also do not sound like anything concrete are really interesting and pleasant. The glitchy sounds and tight kick work well when the drums come in but the snare is lacking something. A touch of bit crushing would suit the rest of the vibe. After a long wait some nice bass finally ... More comes in and proceeds to roll along nicely. The additional bleeping synths are perfect and continue the vibe.
Almost all the elements are there but the structure seems a bit lacking. I would go with the minimal beats and bleeps, then the haunting sounds as a breakdown, then into the bass, another minimal part then back to the bass. End the track with a the sounds from the intro, make it ring out. That would be a winner.
The track is almost there. It isn't even of the prescribed genres so you are doing well to get this score out of me.Nobody has rated this review yet. |
