Review of: BFNK - Help Is On the Way

love the high end distorted sounds and that ripping sound is mental again this song has some top notch creativity love the portishead-esq vocal sample although i never rated them.

seriously though i think this song is amazing i listened to this yesterday evening with a few a few drinks in me and got it straight away and again somehow it feels as if only a few minutes have past..... my only crit ... More would be the arangement somehow i just feel it could build up a little more subtly and finish off a bit more intense seems mabye youve brought all the best ideas in too early.

still a great track and one id definatly play often

Review of: BFNK - Q Q

The intro sets up a really nice mysterious vibe. The half time drums have nice little edits but I feel like they could have a bit of reverb on them. This would contrast really nicely with the tight drums that come in next.

The synths that come in next blew me away. Amazing work. The bass grols nicely, the atmosphere is spot on and the structure just keeps delivering more delights.

The teack is ... More obviously not a super dance floor banger but it would transition into more dance floor music and would still have in a place in a warm up set or a more quirky low key intimate dance setting.

The production is very tight. It could use a little more "air" on things to really up the mysterious vibes but is still solid as it is.

Nicely done.

Review of: How to Destroy Angels-The Space in Between-(brokenfunk remix)

First off, this track is a dark.  Such an incredible vibe throughout this track.
I love the swing you're using on those hats, it gives the percussion such an awesome shuffly feel to them.  Which is perfect for this kind of track.
The bass is absolutely sick too, it just snakes around the track and kills it dead.  Kills. it. dead.
Great job on the vocals too, they sit so perfectly in the mix, and ... More they really bring home the song into a full arrangement.

Now for the bits that would keep it out of one of my sets.

Though the beats are programmed stunningly, the mix/sound choice is off.  The kick gets lost in the track, and that really kills the energy for me.  Fortunately you've opted for more of a rock/pop arrangment, rather than the usual dnb dance track arragnement.
Also that snare comes off flat compared to the other elements in the track, which unfortunately makes the track sound cheap.

Fantastic track man, great listen.
